To open Canara Bank saving account you have to fill an application form and submit in the bank branch.
Eligibility: Individuals, Joint accounts, Minor accounts, Illiterates, HUF, Non-corporate bodies, Clubs, Societies, Associations, Schools, Trusts, Executors/ Administrators, Govt. bodies, Semi-Government Departments, Recognized PF Accounts, Capital Gains Accounts.
Minimum balance: Rs.500/- without cheque book & Rs.1000/- with cheque book facility in Metro/Urban; Rs.100/- without cheque book & Rs.500/- with cheque book in Semi-urban/Rural Branches.
Documents required to open account: Application, Proof of identity, Address proof, Introduction, Passport size photograph.
Interest rate: 3.5% calculated on the daily balance at the end of the day.
Nomination facility available.
Other facilities available: · ATM-cum-Debit Card, Pass book/Pass sheet, Nomination, Standing Instructions, Cheque Collection.
·Instant Credit of Outstation Cheque upto Rs.15,000/-Anywhere Banking Facility, Internet & Mobile Banking & Telebanking.

Canara bank is a good bank i have opened account with this bank and there have been no problem in operation.
