My question is whether the Bank charges double interest in a year after part repayment of home loan.

I have taken Home loan of Rs.4,05,000-00 from Syndicate Bank, Chikmagalur branch on 15-11-2005. During March 27 2008 I have made repayment of Rs.2,75,000-00 towards the principal. Then the Bank has failed to reschedule my loan and used to charge double interest on regular occassions thereon. Inspite of requests made and correspondeces with higher authorities it has acted negligently. They have not made proper reschedule after repayment of Rs.2,75 lakhs. Kindly suggest a good solution.
