I am planning to invest in SBI-FD for 2lakhs & 1year. Please advice whether tax will be deducted?
I am planning to invest in SBI-FD for 2lakhs for a duration of 1year. Please advice whether tax will be deducted for this case ? If so how much tax will be deducted ? It would be nice if i get a breakup of the maturity amount after all deductions if any. I already have an FD for 50K which will be maturing by aug2008 with SBI.

Best Answer:
HI...surely you would get some tax rebate on investing money in FD's if you want the complete information about sbi fixed deposit visit here and also go through the important eligibility criteria/interest rates of almost all major banks offering this scheme in India. Also calculate the rates using fixed deposit calculator without paying any cost!

Answer 1.
i think it's 10-12% rebate on every 1 lakh investment in fixed deposit but only with the public sector banks so before investing go through the RBI rules. ICICI bank is also good one to invest i have 30k mutual funds with them and getting much benefits!
