How to get my name remove from CIBIL ?

I used Barclay card for 10000. later i requested custimer care to change to EMI. they confirmed it was done. Later every month i paid the said amount for 7 to 8 months. Then i realsied what ever i paaid was interest not EMI. Talked to recovery person and manager about this. They told they will send to main branch and look for settlement. Then i stoped paying. Now my name was in CIBIL for 28000.
Do i need to pay all the amount now to get out of CIBIL ? Is there any way by paying some amount and clearing.
